I could start off saying my life was pretty much the same yesterday as it was the day before, which is true, but perhaps my perceptions are slower to catch up with the action, so I will start with what I did to live in this experiment. I meditated. I listened. I logged my energy and happiness levels on the hour. I felt overall quite peaceful. I was exceptionally focused during work and got a lot accomplished. I noticed I remembered to call a friend because it was a big day for her. And I remembered to set an intention before yoga. Small details. Maybe they add up. Here are a few actions I took after listening for the "voice":
I acted on the voice when I dared myself to speak to a woman I recognized at Starbucks, who was the woman who runs the store of the body butter, yesterday's LAB Light. Synchronicity?!
I acted on the voice when I asked if I should go surfing, and got a clear YES.
I acted on the voice when a friend asked for advice and I listened before I spoke.
One interesting thing - I had what I truly think ranks as the most monumental headache of my life yesterday, starting around 4pm and increasing in intensity until I managed to fall asleep. This could be coincidence, but I am a fan of the holistic approach to dis-ease and injury (after working in a hospital for years and seeing with my eyes how interconnected mind, emotion, and illness are) and wondered if it could be related to the day yesterday. Physiologically I'm healthy and eating well and hydrated, so it wasn't those things. I did a little research and found Louise Hay writes, "Headaches come from invalidating the self...Headaches are created by people who want to be perfect and who put a lot of pressure on themselves." Interesting information.
Overall I think living by this inner guidance going to take some time to get used to. So I'm diving in again and feeling excited to see what today holds!!!
(And if you're interested in the numbers, I will put all their tallied results together after day 3.)
